MarginCall's Crypto Mining Simulation Gets Real with Era-Accurate Prices
The MarginCall game has released its Digital Frontier Update, which brings a more realistic experience to crypto mining simulations. In the past, players could only mine Bitcoin, and coin prices were stuck in time, regardless of the year they started their run in.
The update introduces eight new mineable coins: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Monero, Dash, and Zcash. Each coin is now priced according to its era, allowing players to experience the growth and fluctuations of cryptocurrency prices over time.
The game's Data Center system has also been revamped. Instead of being an abstract concept, it's now a physical building that requires players to manage servers and their processing power. This adds a new layer of complexity to the simulation, making it feel more like running a real business.
Rival companies in the game are now dynamic, growing and competing over time. The update aims to recreate the feeling of being part of a rapidly changing market, where every decision has consequences.
