Markus Pays for Loop Ride with DOGE Amid Crypto Market Selloff
Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus recently shared his most crypto-related experience on X. In response to ITrustCapital's question about the 'most crypto thing' people did over the weekend, Markus revealed that he used Dogecoin to pay for a ride on the Las Vegas Loop.
However, this wasn't done over the weekend but still stands as his most memorable crypto experience. The Las Vegas Loop is a transit system operated by Elon Musk's Boring Company, which initially surprised the crypto community in July 2022 by accepting Dogecoin payments when it opened its first station outside the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Markus co-founded Dogecoin with Jackson Palmer in late 2013. The cryptocurrency market is currently facing a downturn, with over $604 million in liquidations reported on Tuesday according to CoinGlass data.
