Marleau Brings Capital Markets Clout to BUZZ HPC Amid Revenue Surge
BUZZ HPC, the AI-focused subsidiary of HIVE Digital Technologies, has appointed Hubert Marleau as an independent director. The appointment takes effect on September 15, 2026, and brings more than five decades of Canadian capital markets experience to the company.
Marleau's resume is impressive, with a career spanning the upper echelons of Canadian finance. He has served as Governor of both the Montreal and Vancouver stock exchanges and chaired the Toronto Stock Exchange Listing Committee.
The company's revenue trajectory is starting to resemble that of a scaled infrastructure business, with average daily revenue surpassing $1 million. Two notable contracts have contributed to this growth: a five-year, $350 million agreement for AI cloud services signed in August 2026 and a $220 million sovereign AI GPU contract with Bell Canada for Cohere Inc. secured two months earlier.
HIVE Digital Technologies, listed on the TSX and NASDAQ under the ticker HIVE, has shifted its focus from Bitcoin mining to high-performance computing technologies. BUZZ HPC is positioning itself as a domestic alternative for Canadian enterprises and government agencies that need their data to stay on Canadian soil.
