Justin Mateen, co-founder of Tinder and board member of American Bitcoin Corp (ABTC), has made a significant investment in the company, buying 306,981 shares for $1.93 million.

The purchase occurred immediately after ABTC released its Q2 2026 earnings report, which showed a record mining output of 932 BTC but also a net loss of approximately $57 million.

Mateen's investment has sparked interest in the company's future prospects, particularly given the timing and scale of his purchase.

ABTC is a relatively new entrant in the Bitcoin mining industry, formed through a merger between Gryphon Digital Mining and a Trump family-backed entity in 2025.
