Matt Damon to Keynote Ripple's Combined Swell and XRPL Apex Conference
Ripple has announced that Academy Award-winning actor Matt Damon will be a keynote speaker at Swell 2026, scheduled for October 27-29 in New York City. This year's conference combines Swell and XRPL Apex for the first time, featuring over 50 sessions across three stages with more than 75 speakers.
The event will explore topics such as payments, stablecoins, tokenization, crypto markets, exchange-traded funds, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, privacy, quantum computing, and XRP utility. Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse, President Monica Long, and CTO Emeritus David Schwartz are also listed among the speakers.
The conference has attracted a diverse lineup of executives from investment management, crypto trading, financial technology, and nonprofit finance. Notable speakers include Robinhood crypto executive Johann Kerbrat, BNY Global Head of Markets Laide Majiyagbe, and Intercontinental Exchange Vice President Michael Blaugrund.
The event also marks a significant milestone for Ripple's partnership with Water.org, a nonprofit co-founded by Damon that provides affordable financing for household water and sanitation systems. Ripple supports the organization's Get Blue campaign using its RLUSD stablecoin to transfer funding to microfinance partners worldwide.
