Matter Labs Open-Sources Prividium, Enabling Self-Hosted Permissioned Chains
The development team behind ZKsync, Matter Labs, has announced that it is open-sourcing its financial blockchain foundation, Prividium. This move allows financial institutions to run permissioned chains from public code in their own environments.
The Bundesbank, Germany's national central bank, is the first institution to deploy Prividium self-hosted. The bank will manage its smart contracts and token data within its own environment.
Prividum uses zero-knowledge proofs to verify that transactions have been processed correctly without revealing any sensitive information.
