Mbanq Secures First Institutional Funding from Swiss Private Bank
Mbanq has secured its first institutional funding from a Swiss private bank through a note listed on the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange. This milestone marks a significant shift for the company, which had previously bootstrapped for ten years without any venture or institutional capital.
The exact identity of the bank and the size of the investment remain undisclosed, but this development is seen as a vote of confidence in Mbanq's Banking-as-a-Service platform. The company provides infrastructure that enables banks, fintechs, and non-financial brands to offer embedded financial products without building core banking systems from scratch.
Mbanq has integrated native stablecoin processing and money movement directly into its core platform, a feature that is already live and compliant. This means that if a bank built on Mbanq's infrastructure wants to send or receive stablecoins, it doesn't need to wire in a separate crypto vendor.
