MCCA Backs Clarity Act as Lawmakers Rush to Pass Crypto Reg Bill
The Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), a nonprofit representing police chiefs from major U.S. cities, has endorsed the passage of the Clarity Act, adding pressure on lawmakers to pass the bill before August recess.
The association's support comes after recent changes to the legislation, which have addressed financial crime and included additional law enforcement provisions.
Last week, the National Fraternal Order of Police also expressed its support for the bill. However, some Democrats have criticized the current version, citing concerns over ethics and potential conflicts of interest tied to President Trump's crypto business interests.
