MegaETH Whitepaper Claims Real-Time Ethereum Layer 2 Network
MegaETH is a project that aims to improve the speed and performance of the Ethereum blockchain. According to its whitepaper, MegaETH proposes a real-time Ethereum Layer 2 network that can confirm activity in a fraction of a second, rather than several seconds.
The central proposal is to assign specialized roles to different machines, so that ordering, proving, and verifying happen on separate hardware tuned for each task. This division of labor is presented as the key enabler of low latency, rather than a minor optimization.
