$MELANIA Meme Coin Surpasses $TRUMP in Short-Term Gains
Despite the attention-grabbing launch of OFFICIAL $TRUMP ($TRUMP) by the Trump family, another meme coin has been quietly outperforming it. OFFICIAL $MELANIA ($MELANIA), a cryptocurrency themed after the First Lady, has been steadily climbing in value over the past month.
The $MELANIA token saw an initial surge from $0.07 to $0.14 before plummeting to $0.10, but it eventually recovered and climbed above $0.11 by September 9. At its current price of $0.10, it is up 35.93% on the 30-day chart, although it has fallen 28.57% from its late August highs.
This performance is particularly remarkable given that both Trump family meme coins have been closely tied to the overall cryptocurrency market. In fact, their price movements over the past month have mirrored those of the total market capitalization, which soared from $2.18 trillion in late August before dipping by around $60 billion due to external turmoil.
