The Trump family's meme coins have been making waves in the crypto market, but one coin is surprisingly outperforming its family member. OFFICIAL MELANIA (MELANIA), a digital asset themed after First Lady Melania Trump, has modestly outperformed OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) in short-term charts despite similar market behavior.
According to Finbold, TRUMP soared 75% within a week in late August but subsequently took a nosedive and entered a downtrend. In contrast, MELANIA held a relatively steady uptrend after an initial post-upsurge plummet and was only taken lower by external market factors.
The correlation between the Trump meme coins and the overall crypto market is also noteworthy. Both TRUMP and MELANIA have been trading closely with the total market capitalization of digital assets, which soared from $2.18 trillion to $2.66 trillion in late August before dropping by $60 billion due to external turmoil.
