Melania Trump's $17M Profit Scheme Raises Eyebrows Amid Audit
Financial disclosures reveal that Melania Trump made nearly $17 million last year, sparking controversy over her 'extraordinary' profits as first lady. According to a First Lady 'audit' conducted by The Daily Beast, Melania's earnings came primarily from the Brett Ratner-directed documentary about her, her book sales, and crypto NFTs.
The report found that Melania's documentary earned $10 million, despite costing $75 million to produce and only earning $17 million worldwide during its theatrical run. She also collected $6 million from her NFTs and another $500,000 from her autobiography.
Trump biographer Michael Wolff reacted to the findings, stating that 'this is extraordinary' among the many norm-breaking actions of the Trump administration. Wolff further criticized Melania for not fulfilling her role as first lady, saying she doesn't do anything and only supports her own business interests.
