Meme Coins Dominate Crypto Sector Attention in Q2 2026

CoinGecko has released its Q2 2026 attention share rankings for the crypto sector, and Meme coins are leading the way. In the second quarter of this year, Meme coins accounted for 12.1% of total crypto sector attention.

This is according to CoinGecko's data, which was stated on platform X by Odaily. The figures also show that AI-based projects came in second with a share of 11.2%, while Base native projects took third place at 7.9%. Real-world assets (RWA) followed closely behind at 5.1%.

The rankings highlight the growing interest in various types of crypto assets and ecosystems, but also underscore the need for investors to carefully evaluate their options before making any investment decisions.
