MemeBitcoin Raises $8M to Tackle Quantum Threat to Early Bitcoin Wallets
MemeBitcoin has raised $8 million in funding to tackle one of Bitcoin's most pressing long-term security concerns: quantum computing.
The project aims to make the threat of quantum computers accessible to ordinary crypto users through a gamified public effort centered on Satoshi Nakamoto's dormant coins.
The funding will support MemeBitcoin's public launch, global community expansion, and preparations for future exchange listings. The project uses a 10-minute emission schedule with reward halvings every four months as an intentional reference to Bitcoin's monetary design.
While the size of the round shows that investors are willing to back a product built around one of Bitcoin's most difficult long-term security questions, it does not validate MemeBitcoin's technical ability to reach Satoshi's private keys. The project's mission is twofold: to raise awareness about the quantum threat and to participate in a race to reach those wallets before future quantum hardware does.
