Metaplanet Denies Massive BTC Sale Amid $1.4B Loss

Metaplanet has denied selling $320 million in BTC after a transfer of 5,014 BTC. The company claims this was a custody operation and that its holdings remain at 43,000.

This move comes amidst significant losses for Metaplanet, which has experienced a $1.4 billion loss. A recent transfer of 3,881 BTC valued at approximately $250 million raised concerns in the community.

Strategy's CEO, Phong Le, recently confirmed that his company will resume Bitcoin purchases before the end of 2026. Strategy sold 1,690 BTC for about $108.6 million at an average price of $64,262, while raising $653.1 million through MSTR share sales.
