Metaplanet Launches Hong Kong-Based Subsidiary for Bitcoin Investment Management

Metaplanet has expanded its Bitcoin-focused financial services push by creating a new subsidiary in Hong Kong. The company announced that it will invest client funds and its own capital across various instruments, including Bitcoin-linked securities.

The planned operation, Metaplanet Asset Management Asia Limited, is expected to have minimal impact on the consolidated 2026 financial results of Metaplanet.

Simon Gerovich, Darren Winia, and Kelvin Lee will serve as directors of the subsidiary, which will execute purchases and sales for assets managed by Metaplanet's investment businesses during Asian market hours.
