Metaplanet Moves 3,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime Amidst Series of Large-Scale Transfers

Metaplanet, Japan's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has moved 3,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime in a transfer valued at around $237 million. This is the latest of several large-scale movements that have taken place in August, with over 2,350 BTC sent to the same destination.

The total value of these transfers represents about $4.09 billion, making Metaplanet's Bitcoin treasury one of the largest on the planet.

Credit: The company's CEO, Simon Gerovich, has stated that none of these movements are sales, but rather 'custodial adjustments' to maintain a stable reserve asset.
