Metaplanet's Business Head Phil Geiger Departs for New Bitcoin Ventures

Phil Geiger, former Head of Business Development at Metaplanet, has left the company after one year. He joined Verify Wealth as Chief Marketing Officer and will also serve as President of the Bitcoin Scholars Fund.

In his new roles, Geiger will work on growing a financial planning business aimed at Bitcoin holders with Verify Wealth and focus on expanding Bitcoin education with the Bitcoin Scholars Fund.

Geiger's move comes as Metaplanet continues to expand its Bitcoin treasury strategy. The company has been building one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holdings globally, positioning itself as a Bitcoin-focused financial platform rather than simply a company holding BTC on its balance sheet.
