MEV Bot Foils $7.7M Wallet Exploit Attempt, rsETH Frozen
An attempt to exploit an Ethereum wallet by extracting $7.7 million in rsETH was foiled when an MEV bot intercepted the funds. The attacker used a public keeper multicall to direct a custom Uniswap v4 liquidity module into a hooked pool, where ETH was unwrapped into rsETH.
The affected wallet belonged to an unidentified user and had lost about $7.73 million in rsETH at the time of Blockaid's initial report.
The MEV bot, Yoink, captured the rsETH before the original exploiter could take control of the funds, transferring 18.93 ETH (worth around $46,000) to an address labeled as a block builder in the same transaction.
