MEXC Outpaces Robinhood's Bitstamp in Fees and Listings
MEXC has been compared to Bitstamp (now owned by Robinhood) in terms of fees, coin listings, and leverage. According to MEXC, its platform offers a lower cost structure for traders, with 0% maker fees and 0.05% taker fees on spot trades, compared to Bitstamp's entry-tier fees of 0.30% maker and 0.40% taker.
MEXC also lists over 1,600 coins on its platform, more than 16 times the number listed by Bitstamp (102 coins). Furthermore, MEXC offers up to 500x leverage on BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT trades, while Bitstamp caps eligible EU users at 10x leverage.
Bitstamp does hold various licenses, including a MiCA CASP license, a New York BitLicense, and an FCA registration. However, MEXC publishes a monthly Hacken-audited proof of reserves, which is not available on Bitstamp's website.
