Mexican Duo Accused of Quadruple Homicide Over Alleged Bitcoin Heist
Two suspects in Mexico are facing a court hearing on Wednesday over their alleged involvement in a quadruple homicide. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) believes that Diego Sebastián and Gerardo sought to steal a cold wallet containing millions of dollars in Bitcoin.
The FGJEM announced the arrests on September 2 via an X post, citing an update from La Jornada news outlet. The suspects are accused of killing four people in their attempt to obtain the wallet.
A judge will determine whether there is sufficient evidence for criminal proceedings against Diego Sebastián and Gerardo to continue at the upcoming hearing on Wednesday.
