Mezo Teams Up With Aerodrome To Boost Bitcoin Lending
Mezo, a decentralized lending protocol built for Bitcoin (BTC), has partnered with Aerodrome Finance to distribute tokens and stimulate liquidity generation. The collaboration will see 2.25% of Mezo's total token supply allocated directly to active veAERO governance participants.
The vote-escrow model used by Aerodrome allows participants to lock assets and direct protocol emissions and trading fees toward designated liquidity pools across the network. This approach is also mirrored in Mezo's internal lending mechanism, where borrower interest and exchange swap fees are distributed to participating Bitcoin lockers.
Mezo has recently seen a significant migration of capital onto its platform, with approximately $23 million in BTC-denominated assets transferred to its native mainnet. The decentralized platform currently maintains a total value locked of around $76.3 million across its active liquidity pools, with over 2,000 loans issued and roughly $500 million in cumulative MUSD volume generated.
