MiCA Regulation Hits USDT Hard, But Global Impact Unclear

The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation is cracking down on USDT, but the impact seems limited to Europe. Tether, the stablecoin issuer, has seen its prices fluctuate over the past week, with a 4.8% increase in Bitcoin leading to a decline in USDT's value.

The current price of USDT is around $1, and it has been trading at this level for several days. In contrast, Bitcoin saw a significant surge, reaching $68,745 after a 4.8% jump.

Tether's entry into the artificial intelligence space with its 650 million global users has also raised eyebrows, but experts are still waiting to see how this move will play out.
