Michigan AI Campus Secured with $3B Contract and Bitcoin Treasury
Hyperscale Data, a publicly traded Bitcoin miner, has sold approximately 100 BTC from its $71M treasury to fund an AI campus in Michigan. The company used the sale proceeds to cover construction costs and purchase infrastructure for the project.
The Michigan campus is being built under a master services agreement with a neo-cloud AI infrastructure provider. The initial contract covers 20 megawatts of AI compute capacity over a 10-year term, which could generate more than $1.2 billion in revenue if extended to its maximum term.
Hyperscale Data also secured a BTC-backed credit line to finance the project, with expected variable interest rates of 4.5% to 5.0%. The company's remaining Bitcoin holdings serve as collateral for this facility.
