Micro1 Surges Past Half Billion Run Rate with AI Training Boom
A Palo Alto-based startup called Micro1 has made significant strides in the AI supply chain by reaching a $500 million gross run rate. Founded in 2022, Micro1 initially operated as an AI-powered recruiting tool but pivoted to supplying human-generated training data for AI models in 2023.
The company's ARR started at around $7 million in 2025 and ballooned to $100 million by the end of that year. If internal projections hold, ARR could land between $200 million and $300 million in 2026.
Micro1 has positioned itself as an infrastructure layer for high-quality training data, handling certification, vetting, and onboarding of experts across various domains. The company's client roster includes Microsoft and multiple Fortune 100 companies, with a focus on use cases such as large language model training and robotics applications.
