Microsoft Taps Humain for Arabic Language Models in Enterprise Software
Microsoft and Humain, a Saudi-backed AI company founded just over a year ago, have formed a long-term partnership to integrate Arabic-first large language models into Microsoft's enterprise software. The deal, announced on August 26, embeds HUMAIN's ALLAM series of language models directly into Microsoft Foundry and the Microsoft 365 Copilot ecosystem.
The partnership will see joint engineering teams from both companies work together on customer deployments and optimization, initially focusing on Saudi Arabia before expanding across the Middle East and Africa. This marks a significant step towards broader advancements in AI capabilities in the region, according to HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin.
Humain's rapid rise is notable, especially considering it was founded in May 2025 backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 framework, aiming to diversify its economy beyond oil and position itself as a regional technology hub.
