MicroStrategy Aims for World Domination with Ambitious Bitcoin Strategy
Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy (MSTR), laid out his company's ambitious strategy to become the world's biggest company by market capitalization. The plan involves accumulating more Bitcoin (BTC) and issuing strong credit to create a robust equity.
Saylor emphasized that owning the most capital in the form of BTC is the first step, with a target 30% annual return on reserves in BTC. He believes this will enable the company to issue the strongest credit possible, creating the best equity - MicroStrategy's common stock.
The ultimate goal requires significant upside, but Saylor didn't provide an exact figure. However, he noted that his company would need a $5.26 trillion market capitalization increase, roughly 140x-145x from its current level of around $36 billion. This is based on Nvidia's (NVDA) current valuation.
The strategy has shifted from solely accumulating Bitcoin to building a business on top of it, according to Saylor. The company now sees its next trillion-dollar opportunity in this area.
