MicroStrategy Bears Own the Tape at $94 as Whales Load Up
MicroStrategy's tokenized stock has formed a textbook bearish technical structure, with its price below every key moving average and taker flow dominated by sellers. However, top-tier traders are positioned 70% long, suggesting that whales are quietly accumulating at current levels.
The company's stock has shed roughly 40% of its value since early January 2026, when it peaked at $157.97 after MicroStrategy announced a $1.25 billion Bitcoin acquisition. This drawdown reflects the brutal reality that MSTR carries an enormous premium-to-NAV that compresses violently in response to macro sentiment shifts and rate expectations.
Despite the bearish technical indicators, including price below all major moving averages and flattening momentum, analysts believe that a short-covering bounce could occur if the stochastic oscillator continues to trend lower. However, this would require $92.88 strong support to hold, and even then, the upper Bollinger band at $101.66 remains out of reach in the near term.
