MicroStrategy Pauses Bitcoin Buying Spree Amid Cash Reserve Accumulation
MicroStrategy, an American business software company, has paused its Bitcoin purchasing spree after accumulating over $3.75 billion in cash reserves.
This decision was made to fund preferred dividend obligations and strengthen its balance sheet, according to Benchmark analyst Mark Palmer.
The reserve now covers roughly 2.1 years of preferred dividends, with the company needing to fund approximately $1.76 billion in annual preferred dividends and debt interest.
MSTR surged 6% on Monday, pressing directly into the Bollinger Band upper band at $102.82 and the descending trendline that has capped every rally since May.
