MicroStrategy Surpasses Most S&P 500 Financials in Reserve Capital
MicroStrategy's Chief Executive Phong Le claims that the company now holds more reserve capital than every financial firm in the S&P 500, except for Berkshire Hathaway. This boast is based on a unique yardstick that MicroStrategy has created for itself. According to a recent investor briefing, MicroStrategy's total reserve capital stands at $72.3 billion.
The company's reserve capital is comprised of its Bitcoin holdings and dollar assets. As of August 31, MicroStrategy held 845,050 BTC, which is now worth approximately $65.2 billion. When combined with its dollar assets of $6.7 billion, the total reserve capital reaches $72.3 billion.
Le also claimed that MicroStrategy has zero net leverage, which is supported by the company's investor briefing. The briefing shows that MicroStrategy's dollar assets match its total debt almost exactly, after building up its dollar pools through August.
MicroStrategy's stock price (MSTR) has been performing well, hovering near $122.30 on Wednesday, off 2.1%. However, it fell faster than Bitcoin, which is trading at around $77,203, down 0.08% on the day.
