MicroStrategy's decision to purchase Bitcoin has drawn criticism from two prominent figures in the industry - Arthur Hayes and Peter Schiff. In an interview, they expressed their disagreement with Michael Saylor's strategy of buying large amounts of BTC, citing that it doesn't make any sense.

Hayes, a former CEO of BitMEX, believes that MicroStrategy is overpaying for its Bitcoin holdings, which has led to a significant increase in the company's debt. He argues that this approach will ultimately lead to financial ruin.

Schiff, a well-known gold bug and critic of cryptocurrency, agrees with Hayes' assessment. He claims that buying large amounts of BTC is a fool's errand and that investors should instead focus on storing their wealth in physical assets such as gold.
