Middle-Aged Investors Flock to Cryptocurrency

Investors in their 50s and 60s are increasingly turning to cryptocurrency as a long-term investment, according to data from Coinone. One in five users of a 'coin accumulation' service is in this age group.

Data compiled on July 31 showed that users in their 50s made up 15.29% of the service's users, while those in their 60s accounted for 4.91%. Together, they represent roughly one-fifth of total users.

Bitcoin was the top pick across all age groups, and analysts attribute this to the nature of the coin accumulation service itself, which encourages long-term holding through regular fixed investments.
