Middle East Tensions Send Bitcoin Below $78,000 Amid Oil Price Surge
Bitcoin's price dropped below $78,000 on Tuesday during the Wall Street session as Middle East tensions intensified.
The surge in oil prices to three-month highs contributed to the decline of risk assets. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude soared towards $95 per barrel, its highest since June 8, while Brent crude neared the $100 mark for the first time since late July.
Rekt Capital, a widely followed trader and analyst, pointed out that Bitcoin's current price action mirrors its failed breakout in May. If the current price zone fails to hold, it could confirm another lower high and leave the 2026 bear market trajectory intact.
