Middle East Tensions Weigh on Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices
Bitcoin's price hovered near $65,000 on Friday as escalating Middle East tensions weighed on sentiment in the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum also traded lower, at around $1,877.
Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin declined by 0.43%, while Ethereum fell 2.23%. Among major altcoins, some saw significant drops, including BNB and XRP, which fell as much as 4.09%.
Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX, noted that Bitcoin remained under pressure due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, prompting a shift toward safer assets. Ethereum also weakened, with traders closely monitoring institutional positioning and broader market uncertainty.
