Millionaire Investors May Struggle with Bitcoin Ownership Due to Scarcity
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ, has reignited discussions about Bitcoin's scarcity after suggesting that even millionaires may struggle to own a full BTC. The limited supply of 21 million coins is a key argument for a bullish price outlook.
According to the Binance CEO, more than 20.07 million BTC have already been mined by August 2026, leaving only around 4.4% of the total supply yet to enter circulation. However, this figure could be significantly lower due to an estimated 10% to 20% of existing Bitcoin being permanently lost or inaccessible.
CZ noted that these coins effectively reduce the supply available on the market and have sparked concerns among investors. Quinten Francois pointed out that the number of wealthy investors is growing rapidly, with approximately 23.6 million millionaires in the United States alone.
