Millions of Microtransactions on XRP Ledger Fail to Drive Token Demand

An AI payment hub on the XRP Ledger has recorded almost 4.5 million transactions while settling only a few thousand XRP and its dollar stablecoin, RLUSD.

The XRPL AI Hub, run by t54 labs, shows 4,491,820 all-time transactions alongside cumulative settlements of 5,836.71 XRP and 4,125.29 RLUSD as of the time of writing.

This hub is designed to enable software agents to use x402 payments for API calls, AI inference, and other digital services, allowing for frequent tiny payments without requiring each service purchase to involve a meaningful amount of XRP.

Ripple introduced its XRPL AI Starter Kit on June 9, enabling this functionality, which distinguishes itself from token purchasing by using RLUSD instead of buying XRP.
