Mina Network to Halt for Temporary Upgrade on September 3
The Mina network will undergo a temporary halt on September 3, 2026, to implement the Mesa hard fork. The upgrade is not backwards compatible and requires every node on the network to switch to the new software at the same time.
The chain will freeze in a defined final state and then restart under the new protocol rules. This process will take place between 10:00 and 18:00 UTC, with the network halt occurring at 15:00 UTC. Node operators can obtain the new version from 16:30 UTC.
During this time, exchanges will suspend deposits and withdrawals of MINA, as the chain processes no transfers. Investors who have delegated their holdings will not receive block rewards for the duration of the pause.
