Miner Selling Activity Hits Historic Low as Halving Looms
Bitcoin miner selling activity has continued its long-term downward trend, according to recent data. Over the past 30 days, miners have transferred a significant 4,841 BTC to Binance, representing nearly 99% of all miner flows to exchanges.
This decline is partly due to the upcoming 2024 Bitcoin halving, which reduced block rewards and miner production. Additionally, larger mining firms are now using financing options that reduce the need for miners to sell their coins immediately.
Some miners have already sold significant holdings in prior rallies, further contributing to this trend. While lower miner selling eases supply pressure and supports market stability, it does not guarantee price increases.
