Minnesota Bans Crypto Kiosks Amid Scam Concerns

A new law in Minnesota will ban cryptocurrency kiosks starting August 1. The Rochester Police Department has warned residents about scammers using these machines to convince people to deposit thousands of dollars in cash, which is then converted into cryptocurrency and sent.

According to officials, once the money is converted into cryptocurrency, it's extremely difficult or impossible to recover.

The police department has reminded residents that government agencies, banks, and law enforcement will never ask for payment through cryptocurrency kiosks or digital currency.
