Missouri Men Charged in Alleged Bitcoin Home Invasion Robbery
Three men from Missouri have been charged with conspiracy to rob Bitcoin through a home invasion in Connecticut. The men, Sedric Louis, John Davis, and Martel Williams, allegedly surveilled their target and his parents for two consecutive days before the plan fell apart.
The group is accused of traveling to Connecticut between August 21st and 24th, 2024, with rental vehicles, air rifles, and walkie-talkies. They intended to enter the family's home, threaten the target, and force a transfer of Bitcoin to accounts controlled by the organizers.
However, they left after fearing that home security cameras had recorded them and losing confidence in the plan. The three men have pleaded not guilty to the charge, with Louis and Davis remaining detained and Williams released on bond.
