Mixin Integrates Bitcoin Lightning Network Support into Its Wallet
Mixin, an open-source privacy wallet, has launched Bitcoin Lightning Network support within its app. This integration enables users to send and receive BTC directly inside Mixin's wallet experience without managing nodes or complex configurations.
The new feature allows for near-instant BTC transfers with lower network costs using a reusable Lightning Address, similar to an email-style payment identity. Each Mixin user receives a free Lightning Address, making it easier for merchants, creators, and communities to accept Bitcoin payments.
Mixin removes the complexity associated with traditional Lightning usage by integrating payment functionality directly into its app. This simplifies the process of sending and receiving BTC transfers within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
