Mixin Integrates Lightning Payments into Wallet App

Mixin, an open-source privacy wallet, has launched support for Bitcoin Lightning Network payments. This feature allows users to send and receive Bitcoin without managing nodes or payment channels. Each user receives a free Lightning Address, similar to an email-style payment identity.

The integration brings Lightning payments into Mixin's wallet experience, making it easier for everyday users to make Bitcoin transfers. Users can now access Bitcoin payment functionality directly in the app, including sending and receiving Lightning BTC, making near-instant BTC transfers with lower network costs, and using a reusable Lightning Address for payments.

This expanded support for Bitcoin-native assets allows users to deposit BTC, USDT, and Taproot Assets within the Lightning ecosystem. Mixin's integration of Lightning payments makes it a practical payment wallet for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
