Modi Meets Space-Tech Startups: Boosts India's Private Innovation Chances

Share

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with 20 space-tech startups in India, including Astrobase co-founder Neeraj Khandelwal. The meeting marks a significant government backing for an advanced space economy and expansion of the private tech ecosystem.

The interaction between Modi and the startups is seen as a highlight of India's growing push to move beyond state-led space programs and give private deep-tech companies a bigger role, potentially creating a model for other emerging technologies.

CoinDCX co-founder Sumit Gupta expressed delight about the development in his latest post on X, stating that it is heartening to see the government actively encouraging builders in such new high-potential sectors. He believes the move will create more jobs, progress India's tech ecosystem, and accelerate blockchain and crypto adoption across DeFi, DEX/CEX partnerships and other emerging technologies.
