Monad $60M Exit Claim Disputed by Public Records Review
A recent claim that early investors in Monad (MON) exited with $60 million in cash has been disputed by a review of public records. According to the review, no official Monad announcement, Coinbase disclosure, or launch coverage documents this alleged exit.
The review found that investor tokens are subject to a four-year lockup with a one-year cliff and equal monthly unlocks afterward. This means that any cash exit for investors would require a separate tender or buyback arrangement, which is not documented in public materials.
The Coinbase disclosure lists an initial supply of 100 billion MON and allocates roughly 19.7 billion to investors under the lockup schedule. The public sale offered up to 7.5 billion MON at $0.025 each, with an implied fully diluted valuation of $2.5 billion.
