Monero Defies Delistings with $797 All-Time High
Monero's price has defied a wave of delistings from major exchanges, including Binance and OKX. Despite this, XMR reached an all-time high of $797.73 in January 2026. The delisting cycle intensified in 2024 as large centralized platforms reduced support for the privacy-focused asset.
The Financial Action Task Force's Travel Rule requires greater transparency around virtual-asset transfers, and Europe is tightening restrictions on crypto-asset service providers. Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 prohibits providers from maintaining accounts supporting anonymisation or increased transaction obfuscation.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel notes that the post-record decline of Monero's price is inside a large bull-flag structure rather than a completed long-term breakdown. The chart identifies roughly $400 as an initial strength level and marks $180-$120 as broader long-term support.
