Monero Price Surges 10%: Is Privacy Coin Rally Finally Back?
Monero's price has surged by over 10% in recent days, marking one of the strongest recoveries among major cryptocurrencies. This uptick in value comes as traders are increasingly turning their attention to privacy-focused assets like Monero. The largest blockchain with private transactions by default, Monero has a unique use case that sets it apart from other cryptos.
The renewed interest in Monero is largely driven by the growing importance of digital identity, surveillance, and AI. As these topics become increasingly prominent, investors are revisiting the privacy trade, which had been largely overlooked until now. Unlike momentum-driven meme tokens, Monero's recent strength reflects a genuine increase in demand for its network.
Derivatives positioning is also becoming increasingly supportive of Monero's price action. According to CoinGlass data, there is a dense concentration of leveraged short positions between $370 and $380. If buyers can push XMR through this range, automated liquidations could amplify upside momentum as short sellers rush to cover their positions.
Technically, Monero has delivered one of its strongest bullish signals in months, confirming a breakout above a descending trendline that capped price action since May while reclaiming all major short-term exponential moving averages. The next obstacle sits between $450 and $480, a supply zone that rejected every rally attempt earlier this year.
