Monero Rallies 17% as Privacy Demand Returns

Monero has gained approximately 17% in seven days, pushing its price toward $525. The rally places Monero among the market's strongest weekly performers and brings the next resistance zone back into view.

The move is attributed to renewed privacy-focused demand, which drives a recognisable purpose that differs from general smart-contract platforms. Monero uses stealth addresses, ring signatures, and confidential transactions to conceal wallet identities and transferred amounts.

THORChain's Version 3.20 upgrade, which added native Monero support for direct swaps with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins, also contributed to the rally. Decentralised access matters for XMR because several centralised exchanges have restricted or removed privacy coins.

To preserve the latest breakout, Monero must hold above $500. The recent high near $530 forms the first test, followed by $550. Moving from $525 to $550 would add approximately 5%, while a clean break could reopen the route toward higher levels reached earlier in 2026.
