Monero Soars 45% in August with THORChain Boost

Monero's price has seen a significant surge in August, increasing by over 45% as of the end of the month. This is its strongest monthly performance since April 2021.

The rally comes after THORChain launched version 3.20 with direct Monero:native trading support, allowing users to trade XMR tokens for BTC, ETH, and stablecoins without centralized exchanges.

Open interest in XMR has also seen a significant increase in August, growing from $131 million to close to $320 million.
