Monero Surges Ahead of FCMP++ Upgrade
Monero's price has been steadily increasing, nearing the psychological level of $550. This is largely due to the upcoming FCMP++ upgrade, which will sharpen Monero's privacy features.
The upgrade, now in beta testing and undergoing security audits, aims to replace Monero's existing ring-based approach with full-chain membership proofs. This will improve anonymity without compromising user experience.
FCMP++ has already shown positive results in stressnet work and a recent independent audit by Trail of Bits found no high, medium, or low-severity findings. As the upgrade nears completion, Monero's price continues to climb, with XMR trading at around $520.
