Monero's Golden Cross: Next Stop $450?
Monero (XMR) is close to forming a golden cross, a bullish technical indicator that could signal further gains. The cryptocurrency's medium-term moving averages are converging around $360-$363, with the blue average at $360.09 and the orange average at $362.85.
This setup has strengthened the improving structure seen throughout the daily chart, following a significant recovery from July lows. XMR has already set higher lows since bottoming out between $310 and $320 in June and July, recovering the $350 resistance area.
While the golden cross is a bullish sign, momentum conditions must be taken into account before treating it as a guarantee of continuation. The RSI is near the traditional overbought threshold of 70 at about 67, and XMR has hit the resistance range of $415-$425, which rejected the price in May.
If Monero breaks above this region, $440-$450 may come into view, followed by the larger resistance zone at $480-$500. The first significant dynamic support is $388 if XMR rejects from current levels instead.
